Boca RatonWho this is for
In the 1920s the architect Addison Mizner decided Boca Raton should look Mediterranean, and the city has been enforcing that decision ever since. There are no billboards, signs are regulated down to the lettering, and building rules are among the strictest in Florida. The result is a place that looks composed: golf communities behind gates, wide green verges, public schools and a university. It sits between Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, twenty-five minutes from two airports, and it costs more than Broward and less than the island of Palm Beach.
